Perfect any time of year, it serves as a blank canvas and its health benefits are plentiful. So, most of my mornings start with a bowl of oats and depending on the time of year, the toppings follow suit. The fall calls for warm spices and a steamed apple, the winter I lean into citrus flavors and the rest of the year is loaded with berries, berries and more berries, and always topped with a sprinkle of pecans. If craving a little sweetness, I sprinkle with a little brown sugar and cream.
